We call our own eco-tanned sheepskin rugs the Mimosa Collection. They are mostly Scottish or rare British sheepskin rugs and throws, hand-tanned in small, limited edition batches in our tannery here on Skye, the very heart of our family business. We use mimosa (tree bark) tanning to create incredibly soft, high quality leather in the most environmentally sustainable way possible.

Sheepskins are a waste product of the meat industry and using them in your home means minimising waste and honouring the whole animal. A sustainable alternative to man-made fibres, it makes for gorgeous home interior products. We get most of our skins from a Scottish Highlands abattoir.
